BATTERED POTATOES

  • Ingredients:

    • 6 large potatoes (Sliced)
    • 1 pack bacon (chopped, fried and ready to go)
    • 1 cup flour
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1 cup oil
    • 1 tsp pepper
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp mixed spice
    • 2 springs of spring onions

    Sauce:

    • 1 cup mayonaise
    • 1 tbl tomato sauce
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ tsp Tuscan herbs
    • ½ tsp paprika
    • ½ tsp pepper
    • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • Directions:

    1. Heat the oil over a medium heat 
    2. Sprinkle the potato slices with flour.
    3. Combine the rest of the flour, baking powder, pepper, salt, mixed spice and milk in a bowl. This is the batter.
    4. Dip the potatoes in the batter and fry in oil, over a medium heat till golden brown
    5. Drain in a paper towel.
    6. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl
    7.  Drizzle the potatoes with sauce, top with bacon and spring onions. Enjoy!
